Kitchen Reveal
You’ve probably heard me say “good design takes time”. A year ago I met with clients about a kitchen renovation. They had discussed this renovation for 5 years. They had even purchased new laminate countertops but never installed them. I’m happy to say that project was recently completed.
We were able to use the laminate tops (after some modification) while they waited for the quartz tops to be installed. There are usually about 4 weeks from the time the cabinets are installed until the finished quartz or granite tops are installed. Typically the contractor will give you a working kitchen with plywood tops. The end result is beautiful and they say it was worth the wait!

The first of November brings the start of holiday craft shows and open houses. I’ll be attending 2 this weekend.Â
The shops in downtown Marion will host their holiday open houses Sat. Nov., 12. Take the time to stop in and support them. I can tell you they spend hours getting ready for that day! I don’t miss those days.
 November 26 at 6 p.m. is the Lighted Truck Parade in downtown Marion. This brings a fun twist to your typical Christmas parade. Light up your truck and join in the fun. Entry forms are available at https://www.downtownmarion.com/
Nov. 26 is also Small Business Saturday. Shop local before the OSU game against the team up North!

Pumpkin Stem Decorating Hack
Remember to save the stems from your pumpkins. After removing them and making sure they are completely dry, store them for an easy addition to your faux pumpkins next year. You can buy them on Etsy, but I’d save the $30! I use them on the velvet pumpkins I made. It makes any faux pumpkin appear more realistic!
Decoration Declutter
Now is a great time to look through your Christmas décor and get rid of things you are tired of. Donate them! You know what they say about one man’s trash… If you do this before you start your holiday decorating, someone else will get to enjoy it and you won’t have to store it another year! Just think how tidy your attic or basement will be! I’m headed to the attic later today and before I go to the first open house!
