About

Pat Case

Owner/ Designer

I see change in a positive light. I’ve experienced many changes in my life since I started Great Impressions. Thru those experiences, I continue to have a passion for what I do. I am not your typical interior designer. I want to help you make your home a place you love to spend time in and are proud to host family and friends. The changes we come up with for your home will be done with your taste in mind, not mine. I’ll blend old and new and high end with low end to achieve just the right mix. I want this process to be fun and financially feasible for you.

The personal aspect of residential design is what I really love. So many of my good friends started out as clients. My reputation in the residential world has led me to also do commercial projects. Some past clients include Marion Public Library, Whetstone Financial, Grant Middle School, Commercial Savings Bank, medical and dental offices and the local Convention and Visitors Bureau.

As a color and finishes consultant to Buckeye Valley Schools, my work was part of their national design award. Prior to that, I made interior selections for Baja Boats. My work has been featured in Ohio Magazine and Log Home Monthly.

A recent long distance project for a vacation rental condo in St. Croix has led to my newest endeavor – At A Distance Design. Working with online photos and emailing back and forth, this was my first attempt to design a space without ever stepping foot into it. So, I decided to brush up on my technical skills and design projects at a distance.

I am a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Downtown Marion Board, President of Community Business Connections,  and executive board member of 100 Women Who Care.

I do consultations for clients in Marion and surrounding counties. My philosophy is that excellent personalized service and thinking outside the box is what draws clients to Great Impressions. I value the relationships developed over the past years and have hopes to add you to our list of satisfied customers.

Twenty-eight years ago Great Impressions was born out of a love for creating beautiful spaces that are warm and inviting.

I want your home to reflect your interests and feel like the safe haven it should be. Whether you need help in selecting the best floor covering or window treatments that address your needs or are starting from scratch. I have the experience and knowledge to lead you in the right direction. My attention to detail and prompt servicing will make your decorating project a fun and exciting experience.

HER FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE GREAT!

Although Pat Case wasn’t born in Marion, she considers it home. Her family moved here when she was in elementary school. She grew up here, married a hometown boy and raised their children here. Her first try at interior design started with painting her bedroom at age 13. But it wasn’t until she and her husband Greg built their second home, that she re-entered the workforce in 1991, opening Great Impressions, a design studio, and retail store.

It was from her design work that Pat has been involved with the beautification of area residences and commercial spaces. Those spaces include new school buildings, the Marion Public Library, and other local offices. Always helping to improve the aesthetic and function of their homes or workspaces, her work has even included places outside of Marion, in Florida and Michigan and outside of the United States, like St. Croix.

But what makes Pat Case a great MarionMade story? You can hear it in her own words. Pat said, “I remember a time when there was a lot of negative talk in Marion. That instilled in me a desire to do something to make it a better place. I remember my dad saying that my birthplace, Buffalo, NY, was a “good place to be from” meaning it was a place you didn’t want to live. When people complained about Marion but didn’t want to do anything to improve it, I decided I did.” That led to Pat’s involvement with Downtown Marion, Community Business Connections and 100 Women Who Care Marion, Ohio. We are all thrilled that Pat Case has that commitment and that makes her part of the MarionMade! team.
