Hello April šŸ’

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Even with the mild winter we have had, I think we all are ready for mild temps and May flowers. I bought a portable greenhouse to put my seed starts in. I havenā€™t set it up yet because the nights still get so cold. I will do that in the next few days and hope it works! If you have experience with that or have any tips, please reach out.

Porch Update

I told you about the addition of Eze-Breeze windows on our screened porch. We are enjoying that room so much. If it is 40 degrees outside, with a little heater we can enjoy that space. It feels like we are outside with all the glass. I highly recommend them.Ā

My husband got the sofa painted and I added this cute cotton throw. I got a smaller lamp for reading and added these 2 blue botanical art prints. You know I like to shop locally. The throw and art prints are from Spruce and Sparrow at 194 W.Ā  Center Street.Ā

What a cute store! The girls are so friendly and helpful.

Be sure to stop in! I bet you wonā€™t leave empty-handed!

Kitchen Trends and a Hidden Gem

The trend today is to have kitchen cabinets all the way to the ceiling. Itā€™s a much more attractive look than the soffit above the cabinets. Even if you have an 8-foot ceiling, those top shelves can be challenging to reach. In the process of designing a kitchen for a client, she showed me this step stool that is a must-have for her. It is brilliant! I canā€™t wait to see it in person. Check it out!

I am on the advisory board for 100 Women Who Care. We are looking to grow our local group to 100 giving units this year. Reaching that goal will mean we are able to gift $10,000 to a local 501c3 organization four times a year.Ā To date, this group has raised $162,372 and given those funds to over 33 local nonprofits. I would for you to consider joining us.Ā Here is a link that explains how it works.Ā Please feel free to reach out to me directly at 740-360-2380.Ā Iā€™d love to tell you more about it.
